Dear Labay Band Family,

Starting today, the Labay Band is doing a food drive for Cy-Fair Helping Hands.  Cy-Fair Helping Hands exists to meet the critical needs of the homeless, struggling individuals, and families in Cy-Fair.  They provide these services, free of charge to their clients.  All of Cy-Fair Helping Hands’ funding comes from individuals, churches, and local businesses.  They receive no government funding.

We reached out to them and asked what they needed at this time.  They have expressed a need for jelly.  The jelly needs to be in a plastic jar.  Today, we challenged each of our students to go buy one jar of jelly to donate.  Our goal is to have 300 jars to donate to Cy-Fair Helping Hands.  The last day to turn in jars of jelly is Friday, March 8th, which is the last day of school before spring break.

This is a great opportunity for us to teach our students about giving, and a wonderful way to serve our community.  We hope that you will help in assisting us in instilling the value of giving to our students.

Musically Yours,

Ms. Santarelli & Mrs. Rees
